I have had quite a few people in the last week come to me for advice, because they are feeling overwhelmed with where they are in life at the moment. Lets face it, life can be very overwhelming at certain times and can consume us.
So what can we do to help ourselves at this stage? What can we do to help get us on back on the right path again? There is a couple of easy tools that I like to use. Well they easy in principle, but not necessarily in practice.
What is the most important thing to you right now?
What outcomes do you want? What are you going?
These don't have to be 12 months plans or six months plans, they can be just for this week. What do you want to accomplish this week? Be very specific in what you want, as it is much easier to get into alignment when we are specific, and more measureable.
Have a look at your to do list for today, for this week and even for this year. What is on your list? Is it things that are inline with your desired outcome? Or is it full of things that do not serve you?
This is really about making sure that everything that we do in our day-to-day lives points us in the direction of what outcome we wish to happen.
Take time for yourself. Time to reflect, to nourish, to rest you. Your body, your mind, your soul. Be honest with yourself, How much time do you need for you? Make sure you honour that .
These are the exact things that I use to help reassess my life when I'm stuck in a rut. When I'm feeling consumed and overwhelmed.
